About this course

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to work as a carpenter in the building and construction industry. It covers a broad range of carpentry tasks used in residential and commercial construction projects.

Students develop practical skills in reading and interpreting plans, constructing frameworks, installing doors and windows, and working with a variety of materials and tools. Safety, accuracy, and quality workmanship are core components of the training.

On completion, graduates are job-ready and able to work under supervision as a carpenter. This qualification also provides pathways into further construction specialisations or higher-level building qualifications.

Set out and construct carpentry elements for residential and commercial projects
